The page at a glance
Four counters sit at the top: Total items, Knowledge sources, Training progress and Linked agents. Below them, each source type has its own list.Source types
Website
Crawl and index a URL.
Text
Paste text content directly.
FAQ
Question and answer pairs.
File
PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD.
Audio
Audio files, transcribed and indexed.
Video
Video files, transcribed and indexed.
Audio and Video require a plan with video/audio knowledge. On plans without it, those tiles show an upgrade badge.
Adding a source
1
Choose Add item
Pick a source type from the picker.
2
Provide the content
Enter a URL, paste text, write a Q&A pair, or drag files onto the drop zone.
3
Wait for training
Each item is chunked and embedded. Training progress is shown per item; large files and long media take longer.
Websites
Give Botric a URL and it crawls and indexes the page. Use your most authoritative pages — product, pricing, docs, policies.FAQs
The most precise source type. If a specific question keeps coming up in Conversations, write it as an FAQ and the agent will answer it consistently.Files
Drag and drop, or browse. Supported: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT and MD.Managing sources
Every list supports view, edit and delete. Deleting an item also removes its embeddings, so the agent stops answering from it immediately.Linking to a chat agent
Knowledge sources live at the workspace level; a chat agent selects the ones it should use in its Knowledge tab. One source can feed several agents. The chat agent surfaces training state directly:- Training underway — indexing in progress.
- Some items failed to train — retry those items.
- Knowledge sources are empty — the agent has nothing to answer from.
Auto-generated FAQs
Once training completes, Botric generates FAQs from your knowledge sources — usually in 30–60 seconds. They appear in the chat agent’s FAQs tab, where you can edit, delete or regenerate them.Next steps
