# Competitors

> Benchmark your AI visibility against the competitors you selected.

Competitors puts your GEO performance side by side with the set you chose in your [brand profile](/workspace/brand-profile). A score in isolation says little; a score against the people you lose deals to says everything.

## Tabs

| Tab                 | Purpose                                                          |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Benchmark** | Headline comparison across your selected competitors |
| **All competitors** | Everyone named in the answers, including brands you never listed |
| **Deep analysis**   | Prompt-level and source-level detail                             |

Each tab is deep-linkable via `?tab=`.

## Benchmark

Your GEO score, mention count and per-platform performance against each competitor. Sparklines show direction over time, so you can see who's gaining on you.

**Share of voice** turns raw mentions into proportions: of all brand mentions across your tracked prompts, what fraction was yours?

## Competitor heatmap

You and every competitor scored on every AI platform in one grid. Platform-specific weaknesses jump out — being strong on ChatGPT and invisible on Perplexity is a common and fixable pattern.

## All competitors

Every brand the AI answers named, not just the ones you benchmark. This is where you discover the competitor you didn't know you had — someone the models consider an alternative to you even though they never come up in sales calls.

<Tip>
  Brands appearing here consistently are worth adding to your benchmark set in [Brand Profile](/workspace/brand-profile).

## Deep analysis

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Gap matrix">
    Every tracked prompt against every competitor, showing who was named and who was cited. Reading a row tells you who owns a prompt; reading a column tells you where a competitor is strong.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Missing prompts">
    Prompts where a competitor appears and you don't at all. The most direct list of ground you've conceded.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Sources gap">
    Domains that cite a competitor but never cite you. Each one is a concrete outreach or content target.

## Turning this into work

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick one competitor">
    The one closest to you, not the market leader. Gains are available there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pull their missing prompts">
    Those are prompts you can realistically win.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the sources they own">
    If three publications cite them and none cite you, that's a PR brief, not a content brief.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Ship and re-run">
    Compare the benchmark across runs to see whether the gap closed.
  </Step>
</Steps>
